NSNS Christmas meeting on Zoom
Tuesday 15th December at 7pm
Because of the pandemic, 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone. As you are aware, the club has been holding meetings on Zoom since April and they have become quite successful. At every meeting, we have a PowerPoint presentation followed by an auction. We have managed to attract numerous American attendees, along with individuals in the BC Interior and from Ontario and Quebec that have never attended our meetings due to distance. On average, we have 20 to 25 people attend the Zoom meetings. We have also signed on several new members.
Unlike the past, this December we cannot hold a physical Xmas meeting. However, although we cannot meet, your Vice-President, Gene Simms, and I have come up with a way of holding our annual Pandora’s Box Draw. For gifts, we are giving away approximately $650 of our Door Prize inventory and, included in this amount, will be four 1 oz. Silver Maple Leafs donated by the club. As in the past, only paid-up members of the club are eligible to participate in the draw and that would require you to sign onto the December Zoom meeting.
If you don’t have a webcam on your computer, maybe it is time you bought yourself a Christmas gift. You can purchase an inexpensive webcam with a built-in microphone at London Drugs for less than $50. Another option is to use your Smartphone to sign on. This is a very economical way of continuing to enjoy your hobby. If you try it and don’t enjoy the Zoom meeting, there is no need to sign on again….but what if you did?

The dues are still $15 per year and if you join now, I will extend your membership to the end of 2021.
