Merry Christmas to everyone! Happy Hanukkah!

Wishing you a joyous time from all of us in and around the North Shore Numismatic Society!

On a note of Christmas festive fun here is the Christmas coin from the Royal Canadian Mint. It’s 5 oz of pure silver marked as 2020 coin for 50 Dollars. It’s not really going to fit in any of your current coin display formats

BUT it’s 3D and the little train goes around the tracks when you tilt the coin. They say. Or, as the marketing department would have it: “Our latest interactive design delivers a dose of holiday cheer in the shape of a gravity-activated element that moves”.

A holiday “toy” for grownups! Order today! They say.

Her Majesty has been subjected to far more impracticable coins than this but her effigy is on the obverse:

Have a fun-filled festive time!
