Hi everyone,
The next North Shore Numismatic Society’s Zoom Meeting is Tuesday, April 20th. You can sign onto Zoom at 6:30 pm and the meeting will start at 7:00 pm. It is open to both members and non-members, so everyone is welcome.
Club members and non-members will be sent the sign-on link on Saturday, March 13th.
Program: Our guest speakers, James Williston and Kelly Finnegan, will present Part 2 of the program on “Encased Coins”. Encased coins are coins that are inserted into a collar and sold as souvenirs or issued by merchants for advertising purposes. They will discuss the history of encased coins, why they were made and will show the different types of encasements that are used, along with the different denominations. Kelly will show a film on how encased coins are made.
