Hi everyone, This is a friendly reminder that the next North Shore Numismatic Society Meeting is next Tuesday, October 17th.  The meetings are held at the Bonsor Recreation Centre in Burnaby in Multipurpose Room #2.  Doors open at 7 pm and the meetings start at 7:30 pm.  The meeting is open to both members and non-members, so everyone is welcome. Program:  Michael Souza will present a PowerPoint on “The Banknotes of Hawaii”.  This PowerPoint covers the introduction of private scrip in the early 1800s, the banknotes issued by the Kingdom of Hawaii, followed by the Republic of Hawaii, and the territorial banknotes issued…

Program:  Guest speaker Gary Goebel will present a Powerpoint entitled “Bank of Canada Museum – 2nd Incarnation”.  Gary visited Ottawa in July and visited the new Bank of Canada Museum.  This Museum replaced the former Bank of Canada Currency Museum and Gary will share his photos of the new premises.
