Reminder our club Christmas party is this Tuesday 20th

Christmas tree

 Hello Everyone,

The North Shore Numismatic Society Christmas meeting is going to be held this coming Tuesday, December 20, 2016.

The meeting is held in Multipurpose Room #2 at the Bonsor Recreation Centre next to Metrotown. Doors open at 7 pm and the meeting will start at 7:30 pm. The meeting is open to members and non-members, so everyone is welcome.

Instead of a program, this meeting is an opportunity to get together with your fellow members for food and drinks. To make it a successful evening, please bring some finger foods or snacks to share with the others.  If you plan to bring something, please email me with what you plan to bring.  The club will provide the drinks, plates, napkins, utensils and whatever else is needed.
The highlight of our meeting is our traditional Pandora’s Box draw.  For those that are not familiar with this draw, please note that only paid-up members are entitled to participate.  If you are not a member but you wish to participate, you may join the club that night and your membership would be extended to the end of 2017. (If you are a member, I will also be collecting your 2017 dues if you wish to pay them in advance.)To participate, please bring a wrapped numismatic gift of at least $15 to the meeting.  It would be placed in Pandora’s Box and you will receive a numbered ticket in exchange.  During the course of the draw, you DO NOT want your ticket number to be drawn.  If it is drawn, you are disqualified from winning the Box.  The holder of the last surviving undrawn ticket wins the contents of the Box. Having won the Box twice in the past, I can tell you that it is a nice haul of numismatic items. This year, the club will again contribute four (4) silver 1 oz. Maple Leafs ($100 value) into Pandora’s Box.   If you forget to bring a gift, there will be pre-wrapped gifts available for purchase for $15.
We will still have our usual Auction and Door Prize draws, so please remember to bring your floor submissions for the auction.  Because I only have a limited amount of change, please bring small bills and coins to pay for your successful bids.
