The next North Shore Numismatic Society’s Zoom Meeting is Tuesday, February 16th. You can sign onto Zoom at 6:30 pm and the meeting will start at 7:00 pm. It is open to both members and non-members, so everyone is welcome.
Everyone, member and non-members, will be sent the sign-on link on Saturday, February 13th. Please keep the sign-on link confidential and do not share it. This is to keep our meeting from being hacked.
Before I get into the program for February, several announcements have to be made. The February meeting is our Annual General Meeting and Elections.
Elections
As your Secretary, I have to announce that the following incumbents’ positions are up for election:
President – Michael Souza
Vice-President – Gene Simms
Webmaster – Julian Ticehurst
Director – Stan Chin
Director – Gordon Smith
Director – Owen Wright
Because we cannot meet to conduct our elections, the above incumbents have agreed to extend their terms for another two years, so they will be re-elected by acclamation at the meeting. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their long-term dedication to the club.
2020 Financial Statements
As your Treasurer, I will be presenting the financial statements for 2020. I know, it’s boring bean counter stuff, but it is a requirement of our Bylaws and Constitution.
Program: I will present a PowerPoint entitled “Counterfeiters and Forgers” This entertaining program covers the exploits of several counterfeiters and also the illegal use of a novelty banknote.

The items will be posted on a PowerPoint slide and if you would like to preview the lots, please send an email to info@northshorenumismaticsociety.org and I will send you a PDF copy of the auction.
We would like to advise that we are not accepting pre-auction bids. If you would like to bid on an item, please participate in the Zoom meeting. At the conclusion of the auction, it is the responsibility of the seller and buyer to make arrangements to finalize the transaction.
