Vancouver Numismatic Society 

Our sister club:

A non-profit educational organization.  We welcome everyone over the age of 10 with a sincere interest in worldwide coins, paper money, tokens, medals and related items.  We are a member of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association and the American Numismatic Association.

We meet on the first Thursday of every month (except July and August) at 7:30 p.m. in Room 232E of the Kerrisdale Community Centre, 5851 West Boulevard (at 42nd Avenue), Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

The Vancouver Ancient Coin Club

The Vancouver Ancient Coin Club is intended to provide those interested in ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine or Medieval coins with an opportunity to discuss and learn more about ancient numismatics.

Meetings are usually held on the second or third Sunday of each month, from 2-4 pm, at the McGill Branch of the Burnaby Library. The Library is at 4595 Albert Street, Burnaby, near Willingdon Ave. and Hastings St.

Past meetings have included workshops on forgeries, grading and attribution, and presentations on Naval Themes on Ancient Coins, Coins of Alexander the Great, Coins of the Empresses, Thanatos and Eros, Coins of the later Roman Empire.

Open to all BC students from grades 6 to 12, offered by the Vancouver Ancient Coin Club for the ninth year in a row, in honour of the late Gordon J. Dickie.

 Mid-Island Coin Club

Mid-Island Coin Club (MICC) is a member of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association. MICC holds monthly meetings at 6:45pm on the second Thursday of the month at the ABC Restaurant, 6671 Mary-Ellen Drive, North Nanaimo, B.C. Each meeting consists of a business section, education segment (i.e. guest speaker, videos, and member talks), a 50/50 draw, member displays, dealers table, and a member's swap and trade, along with wheeling and dealing, and the ever-popular great mid-island coin auction. If you wish, arrive early and order dinner prior to the meeting.

MICC is very fortunate to have a wide range of experienced members within its club. We welcome questions related to any form of numismatics (i.e. from Canadian or world banknotes, Canadian or world coins, tokens, medallions, wooden currency, to the displaying of coins and paper money.

BC Philatelic Society

The BC Philatelic Society meets every Wednesday at 7:30pm at the South Burnaby United Church on 7551 Gray Avenue in Burnaby, just south of Metrotown

They sponsor the annual VANPEX stamp exhibition and bourse - a 2 day show held in September.

Centennial Stamp Club

The club meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (except July and August and the fourth Thursday of December). Meetings are held at 6 pm at the Dogwood Pavilion, 1655 Winslow Avenue in Coquitlam. Everyone is welcome.

North Shore Stamp Club

Club meets every other Monday at 6:30 to 9:00 PM at "Summerhill", 135 West 15th Street, just west of Lonsdale.  This is the oldest but smallest club on the North Shore.  The meeting sequence is every other Monday and the first meeting in 2016 is January 4, and every other Monday sequence follows through including meeting on Monday holidays.  There are informal meetings in July and August in the same sequence.  For information, please call 604-984-3360.

Lynn Valley Stamp Club

Club meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Molly Nye House, 940 Lynn Valley Road.  The first meeting in 2016 is on January 13 and the second and fourth sequence follows through all year including July and August.  For information, please call 604-980-4120.

West Vancouver Stamp Club

Club meets every first and third Thursday of the month at 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the West Vancouver Seniors' Centre, 695 - 21st Street. The first meeting in 2016 is on January 21st (only one meeting in January) and the first and third Thursday sequence follows through starting in September through to June.  There are informal meetings in July and August.  For information, please call 604-922-9792.

The PEACE ARCH STAMP CLUB meets the first Wednesday of each month, except July and August, at the Surrey Seniors Come Share Centre, 15008 - 26th Street, Surrey.   Time 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
All levels of Philatelic collecting.  Very active and friendly group.

Edmonds Stamp Club

The Edmonds Stamp Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 10 am to 12 noon.  The meetings are held at the Edmonds Community Centre at 7433 Edmonds Street in Burnaby. We trade stamps with each other and also share stamps that have been donated to the club.

Fraser Valley Stamp Club

The Fraser Valley Philatelic Club meets typically on the second Tuesday in each month (except July and August) from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the school library at W.J. Mouat Secondary School, 32355 Mouat Drive in Abbotsford, BC.  At each meeting there is active trading as well as a silent auction and a buy board with lots submitted by members.

Cloverdale Senior Stamp Club

The club meets twice a month at different venues

Our club meets on the second Monday of the month at 1 pm at the Cloverdale Library  (5642 -176A st ) upstairs to buy, sell or trade stamps in our mini brouse.  We also feature a Silent auction of better club donation items .  Proceeds help subsidize our drop in fees

Our club also meets on the fourth Monday of the month  at 1 pm at  the Cloverdale Recreation Center(6188-176 st  )  Here we sort through our donations to distribute  items to our members or we often have presentations about stamps and stamp oollecting  by members and guest speakers.  You can visit 2 or 3 times but eventually you would require a Surrey annual Recreation Pass.
