Hi everyone,
This is a friendly reminder that the next North Shore Numismatic Society Meeting is next Tuesday, October 17th. The meetings are held at the Bonsor Recreation Centre in Burnaby in Multipurpose Room #2. Doors open at 7 pm and the meetings start at 7:30 pm. The meeting is open to both members and non-members, so everyone is welcome.
Program: Michael Souza will present a PowerPoint on “The Banknotes of Hawaii”. This PowerPoint covers the introduction of private scrip in the early 1800s, the banknotes issued by the Kingdom of Hawaii, followed by the Republic of Hawaii, and the territorial banknotes issued in the early 1900s, ending with the World War II issues.
Please remember to bring your items for the floor submission auction. Please note that because of time constraints, there is a limit of 5 auction lots per submitter. To pay for your successful bids, please bring small bills and change.
